1st day of preschool
Today May started preschool at Hill Side Academy in Duvall. She will now be going to school MWF!! (angels sing!)
I was a little unsure on how she would react when she went to her new school and not knowing anyone there. But in true Mayson style she walked right in like she owned the place and barely gave me and the boys a glance back and a goodbye! I was fine with it. Little Miss Independent...go blow off your steam! Show 'em what you got! Max on the other hand was so worried that we left "MayMay!"
"Where's MayMay?" is all I heard until we went and picked her up at noon.
I asked Mayson's teacher the other day how Mayson was doing in class.
With a smile, she said, "she's funny!"
Then she went on to tell me-
Mayson is a leader.
I could leave the classroom and Mayson could teach the class.
She always wants to know what the boys are doing. Mayson will even turn to the boys and say..."ohh boys!"
She is precocious.
Mayson loves to play teenager. (what's that?!)
Mayson talks like she is much older.
She is a good listener. (what?)
She follows direction very well. (what?)
Mayson has very good manners. (what?)
The teacher asked me if she had older sisters. I think her playing with all the Dennis/Walker/neighbor girls has a lot to do with that question!
I laughed because this is pretty much the same report I got from her old preschool teacher.
Our little blonde thing is full of it even when we are not around, but she is a good full of it. That's all I can be thankful for. I'm also very happy she is a leader and not a follower with her peers.
You go May!!
Love that you use all those manners. Even if we are not around to enjoy it.
