pink helmets and rain boots

Just another day in Duvall with #1 and #2.
Riding bikes, eating otter pops and dressing alike!

Max is so not scared of pink princess helmets and pink rain boots.
Why should he be? He looks hot in 'em!

don't call him dumpy

"It's mean. It sounds like he pooped his pants. You don't want him to be 15 and people are calling him dumpy."
We hear this from time to time. It's so hard to explain that it has
NOTHING to do with being mean.
NOTHING to do with poop.
And in 14 years if people are calling him Dumpy, well then they will probaly know him well enough to know why.
It has to do with Max being a dump truck!!
He will eat most everything and make a mess out of everything.
He is just messy. He is just a boy. He is just Dumpy to us.
Dumpy in the nicest sence ever.

Dear Dumpy Dumperson,
Here's a deal promise I will make with you.
If you stop doing stuff like what you are doing in the pictures below, well then I will stop calling you Dumpy. Until then dude, figure it out or your going to be 30 and I will still call you Dumps.
Promise? Promise
I love you more,
Love, Momma

1st day of preschool

Today May started preschool at Hill Side Academy in Duvall. She will now be going to school MWF!! (angels sing!)
I was a little unsure on how she would react when she went to her new school and not knowing anyone there. But in true Mayson style she walked right in like she owned the place and barely gave me and the boys a glance back and a goodbye! I was fine with it. Little Miss Independent...go blow off your steam! Show 'em what you got! Max on the other hand was so worried that we left "MayMay!"
"Where's MayMay?" is all I heard until we went and picked her up at noon.

I asked Mayson's teacher the other day how Mayson was doing in class.
With a smile, she said, "she's funny!"
Then she went on to tell me-
Mayson is a leader.
I could leave the classroom and Mayson could teach the class.
She always wants to know what the boys are doing. Mayson will even turn to the boys and say..."ohh boys!"
She is precocious.
Mayson loves to play teenager. (what's that?!)
Mayson talks like she is much older.
She is a good listener. (what?)
She follows direction very well. (what?)
Mayson has very good manners. (what?)
The teacher asked me if she had older sisters. I think her playing with all the Dennis/Walker/neighbor girls has a lot to do with that question!
I laughed because this is pretty much the same report I got from her old preschool teacher.
Our little blonde thing is full of it even when we are not around, but she is a good full of it. That's all I can be thankful for. I'm also very happy she is a leader and not a follower with her peers.
You go May!!
Love that you use all those manners. Even if we are not around to enjoy it.

 ted and alice

It's been 3 years since I last saw Aunt Alice. It was great to catch up with her. I wish it would have been a dinner date in AZ but I will take the visit anyway I can. They got to meet the babies and get a quick snuggle in before they left back home.

Always a bonus to have Uncle Jon and Aunt Judy around. Always.

These next few pictures are some of my favorites.
Matt and Mimi are feeding Sloane some chocolate cake- I think. The faces they are making to Sloane are awesome!
