Playin' In The Pen!

This is one of Max's favorite ways to sit in his playpen!

Under the mat, sitting on the thin fabric. Not so comfortable, but hey what ever works buddy.

We are just hoping that his big badunkadunk doesn't rip through it.
This pen/babysitter has to make it through 1 more monkey!
Be easy on it Hoss!

Happy 1st Birthday Wyatt!!

Let the 1st begin...here we go..big boy Wyatt is the 3rd baby to turn 1 this year out of our circle of friends!!
Love going to the parties and watching them eat their cake for the first time! And of course I don't mind a piece myself...really it's baby Carlos that wants the bite, but whatever/whoever big Momma is eating her cake too!!

Wyatt waiting for his cake while we all sing a perfect version of Happy Birthday!

Looking at his Mom for approval that this is OK?!

Then Wyatt's Dad helps him out...

Wyatt didn't quite dig into like Big Hoss did, (weird!)
so his Grandma held the cake up to him and let him take bites!

Mayson even found a new friend..it was AWESOME for me!!
Wyatts Aunt became an instant hit with May when she offered to feed her chocolate cake so she didn't get it all over herself! Really?! Feed her...Mayson was in love by bite 2!

We never see Mayson sitting this still and not talking. It was nice!

Wyatts cousin Fiona! Ohh...so cute could eat her too!

Big Hoss waiting for his bite.
Happy 1st Birthday Wyatt!
Thanks for letting us join in on your party.
We had so much fun and can't wait to celebrate many more with you!

Remembering Grandma

Today we celebrated my Mom.
I never really quite know what to do on this day, but every year since I find myself doing the same thing.
Eating either cupcakes or donuts and bringing my Mom flowers and balloons.
This year though, I made a very conscious decision to celebrate my Mom and who she was to me.
I wanted to remember her from when I was a kid and our happy, healthy times together.
So, I did.
With a lot of help from my friends, my brothers, my Dad and of course Matt, Mayson and Max, I made it through a tough day. I enjoyed the sun in the morning, I smiled, I cried and I hugged my kids tighter then I ever had and I ended the day just the way my Mom would have wanted me to...happy.

Me and Mayson loaded up the car with all of Grandma's new "pretties" for her tree.
We then hit Safeway for a special donut treat (extra chocolate for May and a maple bar for me),
we got some pretty tulips, daffodils and 4 balloons.

May was in charge of the decorating.

May, Max and myself all said a little something special to Grandma and kissed our balloons...

and let them go all together.

We watched them until we couldn't see them.
May always tells her balloon to say hi to Grandma and tell her we love her.
We LOVE you Grandma and MISS you more each day.

Happy Valentines Day!!

I heart Heart Day!
I think I heart it more then Christmas! I know that sounds wrong and I know I'm not with the majority of the people on the this one, but I think it's true?!
I really enjoy/heart all of the little Holidays scattered throughout the year.
I love Christmas for the kids and for family time, but I find it to be really stressful with all the shopping, all the....blah blah blah....I heart this day! :)

Our adorable Valentines!
This year we made "Love Trees" for our family.
We played cupid and dropped them off at their door with a little "love" note
and Mayson had a blast doing it! Max came too, but with the weather being not so awesome he stayed in the car and watched. He didn't seem to mind at all.

First stop...Aunt Kellys, Captains and cousin Sloane!

All May wanted to do was go in and play with
Sloane's toy kitchen. She did not believe me that they were not home and my car keys do
not fit in Aunt Kells door!

Then we hand delivered a picture to Bobba at his work.
We didn't get a picture with Bobba, but he was very happy to see his Valentines!

The next tree- delivered to Mimi and Bobba's house! We just missed Mimi, so we
left it at the door too. Once, again had to explain that we just can't go in and play and have snacks if they are not home...Ohh MayMay!

Begging to go in...sorry lady!

Then we stopped by Shantels work. May was sleeping by the time we hit Carnation, so Mr. Max
and I ran in to drop off some pictures. Sorry...forgot to take pictures.

Last tree delivered to Grandpa. Grandpa wasn't home either. Mayson still sleeping and now Max too, so I  just took a photo of proof that we were there!

Then off to Lisa and Eriks to give them some pictures!
Lisa was at work and we left them with Erik...no pictures of proof!

Then to wrap up a busy day of playing cupid we met up with Dawn and Tyson at
Red Robin! YUMM!
Dawn of course got May a box of chocolate (she is obviously not a parent) and a bag of heart candy.
May was so excited!

After a long day, but a great day we headed home to get ready for Valentines Day dinner with the family. Mimi had left some cupcakes at our door when we were gone. Mayson thought that was the best thing to come home and have a treat at our door too!
Then at 6 o'clock the power went out and stayed out til 9pm.
There went our swedish pancakes for dinner:(
So, at about 8pm when the power was still out we decided to go grab dinner at BurgerMaster. Max was not in the best of spirits to be taking out of the car...or May for that matter.
Dinner was good...May loves having a "picnic" in the car. By the time we got home the power had been back on for 7 minutes according to the flashing clocks.
It wasn't quite how we wanted to spend our night but it was a good one none the less.

The next morning Mayson celebrated Valentines Day at preschool.
She came home with a load of cards and candy from her friends.
She was so excited that she took all her treats and spread them out on the table to awww at them all!

And of course eat her chocolate!

Happy Valentines Day!
We hope you had a great heart day!!

Every Mothers nightmare...
well one of them anyway...

It happened...I thought we were going to skip this nightmare, but nope not so lucky.
I almost cried...I felt sick to my big o'stomach but I pulled myself back to reality quickly and reminded myself...
IT'S JUST HAIR!
 IT GROWS BACK!
And most of all it was not bad at all if its going to happen and I'm very thankful it wasn't her bangs! (thanks Shantel!)

All I hear in the distance is snip snip from the scissors.
Knowing she is not at the table I ask..
me"May what are you doing??"
May"I dunno know...ugh Momma..?!"
me"Whats wrong May?"
May"Momma look..."
That's when I looked up to see her hair in her hand and a look of scared to pieces on her face...
then I almost got sick all over the floor..

Only the right side was "trimmed". THANK YOU GOD!!

She used her little elephant scissors she got from Santa to do the damage. (thanks Santa) (pj's appropriate for tonights fun!)
Another THANK GOD! If they would have been mine she would have had no hair on that side.

You can hardly tell once brushed all together. PHEW!
Poor May would not show her face. Not like that is anything new, but she knew she did
something she was not supposed to.
Please May,
 Please God,
Please Angeles above....
DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN!
I found out I'm much more attached to her blonde locks then I thought I was.
I'm just not emotionally ready to say goodbye to them...especially from
a silly 3 year old cutting her hair off with elephant kid scissors!
Ohh...MayMay! your still adorable!!

Happy 4th Birthday cousin Mimi!!

After leaving Quinn's 1st birthday party, we headed to Mimi's 4th birthday party.
It was the opposite of Quinns party- his all boys-May the only girl and Mimis party- all girls-Max the only boy!
It was really fun with lots and lots of yummy food!

Momma Edith made Chinese food and ohh my...so yum to my big prego belly!

After the 3rd time of lighting the birthday candles...Mimi finally got to blow hers out!
Bella and Mayson thought they should go first...thanks for being sweet Mimi! :)

How adorable is this?!
Momma Edith made this too...a take out box in chocolate filled with icecream, strawberry chopsticks and chocolate dipped fortune cookies!
So clever!

Another DIY from Edith! A dragon pinata! It was really cute, and the girls loved it.
Mimi's turn...

Bella's turn...

and MayMay's turn.

Then Carly got permission to whack it!

Holy moly Edith packed that thing full like it was Halloween!

Showing her loot!

Eating her loot!

Max looked a little bored stuck with all the girls running around in their dresses screaming!
Soon...DUDE you will LOVE it! Maybe not your sister and cousins but you will love it!

Morell girls on their sugar high and poor Max just wants a bite!

Mimi screamed when she got this baby...

..must be a good one because both girls jumped up right away to take a better look!

Happy 4th Birthday Mimi! Thank you for inviting us to your party!
We had so much fun and your Momma is a wonderful cook & dessert maker!
Lucky girls!!
Happy 1st Birthday Quinn!

(pictures soon to follow...waiting on them!)
