Black eye again

I got your back buddy. I'm documenting this all for you!

We were up at DawnK's for a little summer fun when your beautiful, big sissy got you right in the eye with a toy. To her defense it was an accident, but hey a black eye is a black eye. This was a few hours after the incident. It did get pretty black and blue for at least a week. You took it like a man though and to be honest it made you look really tough in your muscle shirt! Girls like scars here and there.

Uncle Ted and Aunt Alice sent Mr. Miles his first Nebraska gear.

Complete with his 1st Big Red hat (modeled here by The Milian), a bottle, bib, binky and a sleep sack.

May's a flower

The day got here and our star was the brightest one. Totally biased, but somethings are just true and that's just that! Mayson did amazing during her dance. She followed the teacher, stayed on beat and most of all L.O.V.E.D. every minute of it and we did too!

During the show, Uncle Jon watched Dumperson for us.

They walked stairs...

...and more stairs. Uncle Jon chased Max for a good 2+ hours. A special bond was formed between the 2 of them. Later when Matt was holding Max, Uncle Jon came up and Max put his arms out for him...giving up his dad for Uncle Jon...now that's a bond!! :)

We waited and waited and finally our flower was up on stage. Her class was #34 to perform.

Mayson is the 2nd one in on the left. Our left, not stage left.

May is closest to the teacher.

After her big performance, she got flowers from us and Uncle Jon and Aunt Judy.

She was very proud of herself, as we were too. She can't wait to dance again!

Dress rehearsal

Mayson's big day is tomorrow. She is so excited to dance on stage in front of everyone.

It was so hard for her to wait til 5pm to put on her flower costume, do her hair and her make-up.

Finally, the time came to get ready and Mayson insisted on putting on her own lipstick...I tried to win this battle and at the end I gave in. Some things just not worth the fight.

She did color outside the lines a bit (a lot). She can laugh at her silliness when she gets older, and I will hide my laughing in front of her for now.

"Yep, just like that. You put red lipstick on, just like that!! Good job. See, you didn't need my help at all. Your such a big girl!"

Even Max knew something was a little off.

A Bobba power nap

Big Dumperson was watching a little TV and before we knew it we found him like this...

Max has never napped on the couch before. Unfortunately, after he woke up from this nap, he woke up sick.

We didn't know when this picture was taken that he didn't feel good. Poor guy did end up going to the doc. GOOD news was- not an ear infection!!! Ears looked perfect! Just a nasty virus that he caught.

It was that appointment that the doc told me to keep him in a bubble. Thanks dude.

Cool Dad

While Matt was on paternity leave, he was the "cool" dad of the neighborhood. He learned all the kids names and became buddies with them. Now when we walk outside the kids are all, "hi Matt!" One thing we learned, is we are not the only crazy ones on our block. The neighbors have 4 kids and they all start with A. Not sure if they are a triple A, but they are still nuts! Weirdo's! :)

Today we brought baby Miles in for his measurements and check up.

Our little man did awesome. He has a little bit of jaundice, but nothing to be concerned about or treat.

He did get his #2 of PKU and that was that. 

Next well check in 2 months.

Weight: 7 lbs. 11 oz.  (50%)

Length: 20.5 in. (60%)

Mellon: 14 in. (75%)

Baby Miles is 1 week old

Bobba, Mimi and the Poort's all came over to bring us dinner and hang with our new little prince.

Captain Awesome got a new lens, we got a new model and in turn a bunch of really "awesome" pictures.

After dinner the little "big" kids got a cookie for eating so good.
