happy halloween

We Mayson had a very busy Halloween this year.
It started off with a party at school, full of games, decorating cupcakes, a parade thru all the class rooms and some gym time. Me and the boys crashed her school party. Dumpy could not of been happier to be eating, playing and hanging with the "big kids!"

Miss Mayson the pink kitty!

Max sneaking in the picture...kitty not so happy with this.

Game time.

Cupcake time.

Kitty loving on my kangaroo.

Monkey eating the left overs from the party.

Gym time.
Mayson and her boys once again!
No wonder she loves them...they push her around on the bike.
Free rides!

Trick o' Treat Duvall style!
All the stores on main street open up for trick o' treating
from 3-6pm. It is so perfect for all the little ones. I love that it's light out and
you don't have to worry about anything. The kids loved being able to see all
the other costumes. It was a hit. A first and definitely not a last.

Monkey smelling his candy. Has to make sure no one slipped him a
roofie or anything. Total Morell thing! Sniffers!

The hustle and bustle of main street. It was total madness.
No one was messing around.

The kids even got loot from the local
liquor store.
You stay classy Duvall.

After the loads were collected we headed to Ixtapa,
where candy was organized and counted by Miss May.

And where Mr. Monkey must have eaten about 8 oz. of sour cream and 2 chips!
He had zero interest at his candy at this point.

After dinner we made our annual stop at Mimi and Bobba's for
one last treat! It was a great day, busy but great.
We made it home to late to even get any trick o' treaters of our own.
We flicked off the light and called it a night.
Totally those new lameo neighbors.
I didn't want the door bell to wake a kid.
All was good...we didn't get egged.
Maybe next year we won't act so old?!

pumpkin patch

This year we hit up Camp Korey for our pumpkin patch experience as a family.
Being that it was the day before Halloween the patch was pretty much done and the
rush was over. So, it was good and bad. Not much to look at, but then again we had the place almost to ourselves.

This has always been my favorite road in the valley. When we were kids my brother used to work at the cat kennels. I loved driving it. I love how the trees perfectly line both sides of the drive.
I always wished that someday I would live on a street like this.
I still do.

Really is it Summer out? I can't keep a
jacket on this lady for 10 minutes.

Hay ride down by the muddy river.

Carving our 2 pumpkins from Remlingers.

One more night until the sugar high hits our house.
Good times are coming.
