Happy New Years Eve!

Mayson got a few "dupe" presents for her Birthday and Christmas this year.
We took them back and got her a gift card and let her spend it the way she wanted to.
Well, to our surprise she was very good with her money and practical.
She bought herself a helmet! (I know Mimi is so proud reading this!)
It's especially special...it's a Gabby helmet from Sesame Street. It also came with a really big, loud
obnoxious horn. May was too excited to get home and ride her jeep. We know she really doesn't need a helmet for her jeep, but she was all for it. (Mimi proud again!)

OK...maybe she does need her helmet if she is going to stand on the seat.

After her long, cold ride she came in for some hot chocolate.
We snuggled in as a big happy family and watched Home Alone and ate popcorn until the clock struck midnight. Mayson made it up til 12:10am. She watched the fireworks at the Space Needle on TV and as soon as it was over, she asked me to take her to bed!
We ended 2010 with one great last day/night.
We look forward to 2011 when our family will be complete with baby M in June!
Happy New Year!

Happy 34th Birthday Daddy!

Mayson was very excited to celebrate Daddy's Birthday this year. With it being so close to Christmas, we like to call it the "forgotten Birthday" but we did not forget this year!
Another low key Birthday this year with dinner at home with our family. Matt wanted to smell dinner cooking when he got home from work. Done. Easy peasy! May and I made dinner and cupcakes and were all ready when the Birthday boy arrived home.

Each year we seem to add a kid to the Birthday lap  photo.

And each year it gets better!
Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you!
Make room for one more...baby M will be squeezed on next year!

GO DAWGS!

Ohh...the bowl game! Crazy Morell times...who do you cheer for...
Dawgs or Big Red?!
Well, being that we live with a Husky who goes to work every day for us, we better put on our purple and only hope that the Dawgs pull a win.
Maybe it was the lucky Husky shirts Santa left at Mimi and Bobbas for May and Max?
Sorry Mimi and Bobba....if the Dawgs didn't win we would want Big Red to win!
Does that help??!!

Future...Huskies?? maybe

Amy and Tom joined us for our old annual football appetizers party. We have not done this since Arizona...welcome to the party Tom!!

Great start to a football Birthday weekend!

And it's a W on the books!

Merry Christmas at Mimi and Bobbas!

Christmas morning we woke up early at our house to open up presents from Santa and our family. As soon as the mayhem was over, we quickly got ready (JJ doesn't think so) and headed to Mimi and Bobba's.

Santa made a stop at their house too!
Mayson was so excited and so fun this year. She handed out all the presents and of course opened everyones present for them...such a good helper! We had a great Christmas with our May and our new babies and of course ate too much, but it was all very worth it.

Lots of laughs and great memories...it all started with these great shirts from Bumpa and Nana!
The guys instantly turned into bad a**!$ the second they put them on!

Don't want to meet up with these guys at a bar...or maybe you do??!! :)

Mayson was playing way to cool to take pictures, but we continued without her.

Ohh...there she is, wanting to be in on it, but not really...typical girl.

May trying to help baby Sloane stand...

..and opps, not so much much of a help.

Tried sitting and holding, but Sloane not so sure after the last face plant.

OK...all together on the couch...little person in the middle!

Max's new mohawk hat from Uncle JJ. Max needs hat lessons from cousin Sloane!

Baby Sloane in her new owl hat from her cousins.

I know Sloane...it makes me sad too that she always is a goof ball!

Big Frank in Sloane's red bow!
Really Uncle JJ??!! Your gonna let them do this to me??!!

Come on Aunt Kell, take it off!

How about the mustache game?!

How about Frank eats Uncle JJ's finger??!!

Pay backs for the bow!

Disco anyone?

Matt and his meat!! :)

Matt can only look at the meat. Only the King gets to cut the meat!

It was a wonderful Christmas. Thank you Santa.
Thank you everyone for a fun, family Christmas.
Until next year...I will miss you Yummy Buckeyes!

Merry Christmas Eve!

We were lucky this year to not have a white Christmas (we think so anyway) so we could spend the day with Grandpa. He got to our house this morning and stayed until dark. Like 4:30pm!! :)
Matt made the best Swedish pancakes...ohh they were so good. Last time we tried them they didn't turn out, but having my Dad here to tell us how to, made all the difference. Now that he has them down, we are putting them in the rotation for sure!

After baking a pumpkin pie and making a cheesecake we were ready for round 2 of the day.
Fishcakes!
The smell of them cooking brings me back to when I was so little, and then to eat them was just another piece of heaven today. 2 of my all time favorites all on Christmas Eve. Not much more this Norwegian family could ask for food wise. Well, we did talk about all the cookies my Grandma used to make, so maybe her cookies too, then it would have been totally complete.
Not complaining here though. The food and the company of my family was all that this pregnant Momma needed!

Grandpa got Mayson this microphone that she could not get enough of. It sings and plays music, or you can just sing by yourself. We were lucky enough (a little too lucky after awhile) to get a concert that lasted the afternoon. Of course, after every song she would do her bow and say her famous line..."OK now clap for me everybody!" It was fun but the lady can go on and on and on...

Sing it to us May...feel it...sing it...dance it...

There was lots of posing and moving when she was in front of the tree. Still pictures makes her look like a stiff, but trust me she can shake it.

I try to get Mayson to wear cute/matching/some what presentable clothes when she is home, but it just does not happen. I have given up on her clothes changing a long time ago. The average outfit lasts about an hour on her anyway, so whatever...I just let her express herself.
Check out the polka dots here..the shirt is even on backwards.
Love my MayPie.
Love my family.

Mayson did not take a nap today. Too much excitement and too many fishcakes!
At about 6pm she grabbed her blanket and went to her room. A little later we checked on her, because it was way too quite and this is where we found her. Shoes on, lights on, passed out.

Lucky for us we got her tubby in and her Christmas pj's on.
I thought for sure she was out for the night, so we brought out all the presents for the tree and stockings.
She like most has been present hungry, so we decided to just wait for tonight so they don't haunt her in wanting to open them. We put her to bed, but she was back up at 8:30pm. Dang, Matt won the bet!

The Milian on the other hand was ready to go!
He has his Christmas pj's on and is all ready for Santa.

I was happy that May got up, so she could leave Santa cookies and milk. She had been talking about it for so long, that she would have been sad in the morning if she slept through it.

This picture does not show it, but she was very excited and picked out exactly what cookies to leave for Santa. I told her that maybe Santa will bring a cookie home for Mrs. Claus to have? But Daddy said no that Santa will probably eat them both!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Off to Mimi and Bobba's in the morning!
