Boo! Happy Halloween!

When we asked Miss May what she would like to be for Halloween the answer for along time was...a nice ghost!
So, I then started thinking of a ghost costume for her and The Milian. I figure they can be the same while I still have a say in the matter. She did change her mind a few times to either a witch or a pumpkin, but a ghost is what she always went back to...
so a nice ghost it was...

They weren't your traditional ghosts...more of  little jail bird kind of ghost.
I ordered the hats and baby legs off of Etsy and made Mayson's skirt, made the ghosts and glued them onto
their onesies. Yes...glued. I got out my sewing machine and just stared at it. It has been so long that I completely forgot. Oh well glue worked just fine!

Our first family pumpkins.

Saturday night we went to Crossroads to meet up with Mr. LayLay!
It was jam packed with tons of kids and adults. It was a good time with friends, but can't say we
will be going to that gathering again.

Halloween night we trick o' treated Mimi and Bobba, Grandpa, Dawn and Lisa.
She got enough candy at the 3 houses we went to that we did not need to go do any random doors.
We figured this will be the last year for sure to not have to go, so we took advantage of the "not knowing"
and we were all very happy at the end of the night.

I did take some video (not so good video) and put together a recap of the weekend.

Pumpkin Patch With Preschool

Today must have been one of the coldest, darkest, windiest days of October...at least it felt like it
when we were standing out in the middle of a pumpkin patch waiting for our tractor ride back in.
We met up with Mayson's preschool class at The Farm in Snohomish. It was a Farm alright. I had no idea it would be so big and so busy. There must have been about 15 other schools there that day. Total madness, but total fun for the kids. They have a barn hay maze, corn maze, animals, toys and of course....
pumpkin patches!

Earlier this month we had a...wow it really is a small world moment.
We found out that Mayson goes to preschool with Jacob. Jacob is the son of a girl who went to school with Matt. Jared is also really good friends with Jacob's Aunt. Mimi and Bobba know Jacob's grandparents and well of course....
Mayson loves Jacob!
We have been hearing about Jacob a lot around our house...and now we just laugh because it's all so ironic.
After talking with Jacob's mom....Mayson is a name that gets brought up around her house a lot as well.

Jacob and Mayson sitting next to each other on the way out to the patch.

This is the dark patch we were left at for about 20 minutes. It really felt like 45 minutes.
Slim pickings on the pumpkins.

I was warned on how cold it was going to be with the wind and all, so Miss May had on....
socks, 2 pairs of tights, leggings, jeans, onesie, 2 long sleeve shirts, 1 sweatshirt, 1 ski jacket, gloves,
and her warm hat! (thanks Aunt Micki for this hat..it has saved me more then once!)
One thing was for sure...Mayson was not cold. That was the goal and we succeeded!
She looked like a stuffed sausage and needed help walking. She could not do stairs by herself and if she fell, she would just lay there until I came to pick her up. So much padding that she didn't feel a thing!

They each got to pick out 1 pumpkin to take home and carve as a class on Friday.
Along with the many green pumpkins, there were gourds?! I had to talk Mayson out of
getting the gourd...not sure how you would carve one?

All in all we had a great visit at the pumpkin patch.
I will remember next year to go early in October instead of later....
world of difference weather wise.

Sweet Pickerings!

It was a great surprise to get to spend Friday over at the "Pickering Compound!"
Stephanie, her parents, and her sister all live in a row...with acres between. It's perfect for the kiddos to run from place to place and not have to worry...just going to Grandma's to get my super scary, creepy mask and cape....be right back! (boys trying to impress May...woops backfire!)

Miss Clara is now 7 months old and just a cute little peanut butter.
She is exactly 15 lbs. Just a little opposite of big Frank here.

Even Clara has an eye on May...after watching what she does to poor Max all day,
Clara is on the look out.

I finally got to meet Suzanne's twin boys Tyler and Dylan, and her youngest son Devin.
The oldest Tanner was at school. (yes, 4 boys!) Crazy fun times!
The twins are 5 and Devin is 1.5yrs old. The twins gave May a run for her money...
I loved it!

Look how inocent and sweet Mayson is....Max minding his own business with his belly shirt on....

...she's just sitting here sucking her fingers...

...then pounce.
Sorry Max. That is why you are almost 25 lbs.
So you can get your sister back in no time. I promise dude, it's been documented....
you owe her! (a few)

I love going to the PC! Can't wait to go again.
The best line was...."wanna go look for some dear?"
The boys wanted to take Mayson hunting...how Duvall is that?!
I love it!!

Frank's 9 Month Well Check
went perfect!

It is always so much "funner" to take your kid to a well check appt. then to a sick, help me to understand why my baby won't stop coughing, and how do I use this so called breathing treatment thing appt.
So, today when Mr. Morell had his doc appt. I was very happy and very excited to see how our little/big man is doing.

Of course, like true Max style..he charmed his way through the office. Starting with the receptionist and working his way back to the nurses and the techs. He loves to give you the "stink" eye, then as soon as you call him out on it....he gives you a smile and bats his eyes as if he has no idea what you are talking about.
It's pretty funny and you must see to believe how cute it is too.

Frank is too big to lay down on the scale like a turkey....I will miss the turkey pose.

Weight:  24.4 lbs.  (94%)
      Length:   29 1/2 in.  (90%)
      Mellon:  18 1/4 in. (81%)

Dr. Nakahara checked Max's wound from the nightlight and he said it could have used 1 stitch.
I felt really bad that we did not bring him in to the ER the night before until Matt reminded me....
that His name is MONTANA....if he can't stitch it himself, then he don't need a stitch! (whatever)
Plus....Bobba and the rest of the family checked it out and we all agreed...
Dr. Nakahara was being on the way to "safe" side, plus...
girls love scars!

Max got his flu shot and didn't even cry, but then again I was reminded...
his name is Montana!

Frank is everywhere and wants to be everywhere. That is why I love this playpen!
It is the perfect little container to keep him in one area for some time. He loves to stand up and
follow around the edges and watch you move from room to room.
He is a tank so once again I love you playpen!

Our fingers are crossed that we will not be going to the doc office anytime in the next 3 months
for a "sick" appt. Max will have his 1 month part 2 flu shot and that should be it for him until he turns 1.

Frank The Tank
turns
9 Months Old Today!

Happy 9 months budders!

Poor Frank was playing in his sissy's room (under his dad's watch) & opps the one thing
we never even thought about happened. He pulled down May's nightlight off her dresser onto the top of his head. It's not just a little nightlight either, its a good size glass ladybug with a metal frame....ouch.
Sorry buddy, but it makes you look real tough with that Curious George band aide on.
As you can see...it didn't seem to dampen his spirit!

Happy 19th Birthday Karsten!

Our nephew Karsten turned the big 1 9 today!
I know I say it every time but, really 19?!
I remember when they lived in England & they came for a visit & Karsten was
only 6 months old. I bonded with him then & he was my little buddy forever.
Your still my buddy Karsten, just not so little anymore.

I miss you so much & hope we all get to see each other soon.
Happy Birthday Stoney....We love you!

Ohh..The Perry boy's & their orange jeep!

Mayson cannot get enough of this orange jeep. From the moment she knew we were going to go see the boy's that is all she asked about....orange jeep, can I ride it?!

So, needless to say that is the first place she ran to when we got there...
the back yard to see the orange jeep.
We waited till after lunch for the grass to dry a little before going for a spin,
but man that lady loves her rides!

Airen had to take the battery out of it so the kids
would stop trying to take off in it.

MayPie so excited about the guitar...she said she is a Wiggle!
Probably Murray, since he plays the guitar. And yes...she had to wear her Wiggles shirt to show the boys & she HAD to wear her skirt again.

Tyler & Carter LOVE Max & of course, Max loves them! They would sit & play with him, then run off & little (big) Max would crawl after them. It was really cute that they played with him. Usually poor Max just hangs with his Momma & the "other" Momma & listens to us cackle. I'm sure he loved the dude time.

*my camera got accidentally broken by someone (won't point fingers or name name's)
so I'm now using my cell phone for pics. They are not the best...but hey it works.*

My Name Is Chub Rock...

Saturday, October 9, 2010

It's The Wiggles...It's The Wiggles...

Mayson went to her first Rock Band Concert!
THE WIGGLES!

Mimi wins The Best Mimi award of the year for sure!
Sorry to all other Mimi's but the award has been taken & hands down fully deserved!

A few months ago I got the phone call from Mimi asking if May would be interested in going to see
The Wiggles....ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! Interested??!!
So, Matt & I have kept it a secret from her until Mimi told her on Wednesday. May seemed to know what she was about to go do....but as you can see by the pictures & videos...I don't think she really understood until she was there in person!

Mimi got MayPie a Wiggles shirt & let her pick it out....
yep she picked the purple one for Jeff! (her favorite Wiggle)

May came home with her Wiggles t-shirt on & kept it on for over 24 hrs.
Of course, she had to wear it to bed! The only way we got it off of her was when
she took a tubby. Right away though, she asked were it was &
I told her she can't wear it until it gets a bath!

There is still 1 more really cute video, but I can't figure out how to post it.
If I do, I will put it up.

Thank you again Mimi for making Miss Mayson the happiest girl in the world!
She is still on a high from the show & I think she will remember this one forever!
Your the best....and we LOVE you so much!

Happy 9th Birthday Kaileah!

Little Miss Kai turns 9 today...another "are you kidding me" moment for me.
She was lucky enough to have school closed for teacher conference, & her Mom & Dad home for the day as well!
In true Birthday style she got up & picked her breakfast...Swedish Pancakes (so mad I couldn't attend), then her Birthday dinner was fresh crab & steaks...are you a princess or what lady??!!

Kai is showing some of her bday presents...body spray glitter & something else so girly! (can't remember anything these days!)
She will be having her "real" party next weekend with her girlfriends. They are having a day at the spa!
What??!! I thought you were 9...not 19??!!
So sad I'm not there to celebrate...your party is exactly my style!
We LOVE you so much Kaileah & hope your birthday wish comes true!
Pumpkin Patch Take 1

Like every other almost 3year old...Mayson is infatuated with Halloween/pumpkins & all the other fun Fall stuff that it brings.
Pumpkin patch...pumpkin patch...pumpkin patch is all I hear lately, so...
we loaded up The Milian & off we went to The Nation to Jubilee Farm.

I thought I was being brilliant by going on a Friday at noon. Thought not very many people would be there & me & my monsters (dragons..which ever you prefer) could have the patch to ourselves.
Well, yes we had it to ourselves all right. They had a little school tour & didn't start hay rides until 2:30pm.
Bummer Dude!

So, we climbed on hay bails, ran wild in the barn, & touched every pumpkin on the front porch instead.
Mayson was not at all disappointed (don't think she knew what she was missing) so, I promised her another day, another patch. The valley is full of different places to go...so we will try another this week...maybe 2!

Our Little Monsters....Boo!
