Nana came for a visit from Texas!

We were all lucky to have Nana in town for a long weekend. It was the first time for Max and Sloane to meet Nana, so it was a very special visit. We were also lucky enough to have Nana at Max's 1st birthday party.

We headed to Aunt Kells and Captains house for dinner with the family before Nana went home. Also, got to check out the Poorts new kitchen! One word...
AWESOME!
(Captain Awesome did an AWESOME job!)

In true Mayson style she did not want her picture taken. Weird, I know, but I can defend May on this one a little bit...she was not feeling well, so crab'ola pants was out and asking her to do anything was not fun.
So, she missed out on some picture time with Nana.

Sloane all comfy with her Nana...piece of cake...

Mr. Max...not so much. Not a photo day for the Morell kids. Sorry Nana.

Max got to sit in Sloanes highchair and use her sippy.
As you can tell...he was a little more then happy to do so!

Thanks for the "awesome" dinner Poorts and we can't wait to see you again Nana!

Happy 1st Birthday Milian!!

Poor Max got a tired, burned out big Momma for his Birthday planning this year.
It's hard because, 1st it's Thanksgiving, then right away MayPie's Birthday, then Christmas, then the "forgotten" Birthday, then New Years, then finally Mr. Max's Birthday....and that's all within 8 weeks. AND, I'm 23 weeks prego!! (tired!) So, by the time I started planning his Birthday bash it was the 1st of the year and I only had a few weeks. I had so much fun doing it though and I'm sure if I would have spent 4 months planning it, I still would not of gotten everything done. But, I did it in a little amount of time and loved making it special for our little man!

With my vision and Matt's computer geek skills....
the invitations turned out exactly how I wanted them!

Still only 2 lower front teeth!

Happy 1st Birthday Budders!

The only shot with his hat on. He HATES hats.
Go for it dude...

I made Max his own personal red velvet cake.
The only reason I picked red velvet is because it matched his birthday party...duh!
Well....I had NO idea he would go this crazy over it and make a HUGE mess!!

It did make for some great photos though!
And it ALL came out of his clothes!
I did throw out his onesie, but it came out of his shirt, bib and pants.
I got off all the extra big chucks in the sink with cold water, then soaked and washed in cold...
you would never know this disaster ever happened!

Before the party, I thought about how cute it would be to have all the kids in Max's room
for a photo op...it worked out so much better in my head!
There was about 13 kids and as you can see, not all are pictured.
The Morell kids were extremely thrilled with my brilliant idea!

Max's 1st Birthday party table!

I made lemon cake pops with white chocolate coating, red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting
and Amy made her famous sugar cookies...M's, 1's and of course O's!
I thought...how cute would it be to have a Cheerio box cake?!
Well...knowing that I could NEVER make one to look good...I would have one made....right?!
So, I went to 2 different places and gave them my invitation to copy..."ohh we can do that!!"
Perfect...Sweet Cakes in Kirkland won the bid (which was placed 2.5 weeks before the party)
and look how it turned out...
To say the least big Momma (me) was not happy, because I could have done a better job then this...
and are you kidding me?? A phone call was placed and I was refunded half my money.
Totally not worth it...but I learned my lesson.
I now want to take the cake decorating class from Michaels. (errr!)
But, please really??
When I hung up the phone with Sweet Cakes, I made the decision to not let it ruin the party. (I was NOT happy.) And it did not!! I got over it fast!

Gift bags for the 13 kids at the party.
I spent so much time making them and yep....forgot to hand them out when they left. :(

Mr. Milian was spoiled by all his family and friends.
Thank you all so much!
He no longer has to play with pink and purple princess stuff!

We had just a "few" friends and family over to celebrate!
View to my right while opening presents...

...view straight out...

...and view to my left!
No pressure at all!

Of course baby Sloane was here to par take!

So, that was the Milians 1st Birthday party in a nutshell!

We had a great time with everyone and appreciate all the awesome boy toys and clothes.
Thank you to all for making Max's 1st milestone very special to all of us!
We love you Milian and here's to many, many more Birthdays and partys!
Until next year....
CHEERIOs!! :)

It's A BOY!!!

At all 3 of our 12 weeks appointments the ultrasound gal has made a guess on the sex.
 And everytime, she was right!
When we got the guess of number 3 being a boy, I ran with it.
Everything became perfect and totally made sense to have 2 boys and 1 girl!
I feel in love with the baby being a boy and jumped the gun by making this sign over the weekend.
Matt of course thought I was crazy, but the gal was right again!

(21 weeks)

Defiantly a Morell boy for sure!! :)

Number 3 might have a little bit of an attitude like our number 1!
We got a picture of him giving us "the" finger! :)
(picture is on the right with the arrow pointing at him giving us the bird!)

The million dollar question...
Are you going to name him a triple M?

Answer...
We have no idea.

The Milian's 1 year  well check!

Max had an A+ appointment today.
His colors were flying high and I was very happy to hear all his great news.
The doctor must have said over 10x that he is definitely not autistic. We had zero worries and to be honest it never has crossed my mind, but to hear him say it over and over was very nice to my ears!

Max was talking up a storm and Dr. Nakahara could not of been happier with his development.
He commented on his perfect ears and perfectly shaped round head! We have manage to dodge the bullet on ear infections with both kids. Matt had them bad as a kid and I never have had one. Knock on wood, they seem to have my ears. Fingers crossed for baby M to be as lucky as number 1 and 2.
Dr. N also said that dentists are now saying that the longer the teeth are in the "oven" the stronger and less problems they have. I have never heard that before, but it sounds great to me!! He said not to worry, they will come and obviously he isn't missing them too much.

The Dr., the nurse and myself were all a little shocked when we got Max's weight.
He looks and feels heavier then he is. According to the Dr.'s chart, Max is weight wise the size of an average 27 month old boy!

Weight: 26 lbs. 1 oz. (90%)
Length: 31 in. (80%)
Mellon: 18 5/8 in. (83%)

We ran out of formula about 2 weeks ago. Knowing that Max would be going to whole milk on his 1st Birthday, we went for it and made the switch. He loves it! Doesn't seem to mind the change at all...could care less that it's straight from the cold fridge...he wants it...and wants it anyway you give it to him. We are just now starting to do the 2 middle of the day bottles in a sippy cup.

At the same time we changed to whole milk, we moved Frank into a big boy carseat.
He was hating getting in and out of the infant seat...his knees where about up to his ears, we made the switch and he LOVES it!

The only thing I did NOT like about this appointment was his 1 year old shots.
He had to have 4 of them and the nurse said 3 out of the 4 sting for a bit.
Max was not a fan, nor was I of them, but he did very well considering. He cried when he got them and some after the appointment. After he took a nap he seemed to be good.
Good job, budders...we are so proud of our big guy!

Happy 1st Birthday Milian!!

It's still true what I say at every Birthday...wow already here?!
Max's Birthday seemed to come so fast to us. It feels like he has been with us forever, but really only 365 days. Max is what you hope and dream your baby to be like when you are pregnant!
He is such an easy baby and brings so many laughs to all of us.
He loves his sissy and we know she loves him a lot more then she shows sometimes.
They love to make eachother laugh and in turn our house seems to be always turned up one volume too loud.
We are a busy, loco family and really loving every minute of it!

Waiting for the Birthday cupcake!

Here it comes....

singing Happy Birthday...and still waiting for his cupcake..

he wants it....

Not too happy that sissy blew out his Birthday candle wish.

But, you get to eat it buddy!

A little icecream.

Tubby time.

Max ate his cupcake and icecream like he had had it before! He never really acted surprised by the sweetness of the cupcake or the coldness of the icecream. He was an old pro! Little messy, but all worth it!

We love you Mr. Montana!
You are the sweetest boy and we are the lucky parents!
Thank you to everyone for all the Birthday wishes and phone calls of singing Happy Birthday...WE truly enjoyed all of them!
Here's to another great 365 days!

P.S. I realized I did not do an 11 month update on the boy. So busy with the holidays that I missed it...sorry buddy. But...we can report that at 10.5 months 2 lower front teeth popped up!
Max is no longer toothless! Baby dentures not needed! :)
