The Milian's 1 year  well check!

Max had an A+ appointment today.
His colors were flying high and I was very happy to hear all his great news.
The doctor must have said over 10x that he is definitely not autistic. We had zero worries and to be honest it never has crossed my mind, but to hear him say it over and over was very nice to my ears!

Max was talking up a storm and Dr. Nakahara could not of been happier with his development.
He commented on his perfect ears and perfectly shaped round head! We have manage to dodge the bullet on ear infections with both kids. Matt had them bad as a kid and I never have had one. Knock on wood, they seem to have my ears. Fingers crossed for baby M to be as lucky as number 1 and 2.
Dr. N also said that dentists are now saying that the longer the teeth are in the "oven" the stronger and less problems they have. I have never heard that before, but it sounds great to me!! He said not to worry, they will come and obviously he isn't missing them too much.

The Dr., the nurse and myself were all a little shocked when we got Max's weight.
He looks and feels heavier then he is. According to the Dr.'s chart, Max is weight wise the size of an average 27 month old boy!

Weight: 26 lbs. 1 oz. (90%)
Length: 31 in. (80%)
Mellon: 18 5/8 in. (83%)

We ran out of formula about 2 weeks ago. Knowing that Max would be going to whole milk on his 1st Birthday, we went for it and made the switch. He loves it! Doesn't seem to mind the change at all...could care less that it's straight from the cold fridge...he wants it...and wants it anyway you give it to him. We are just now starting to do the 2 middle of the day bottles in a sippy cup.

At the same time we changed to whole milk, we moved Frank into a big boy carseat.
He was hating getting in and out of the infant seat...his knees where about up to his ears, we made the switch and he LOVES it!

The only thing I did NOT like about this appointment was his 1 year old shots.
He had to have 4 of them and the nurse said 3 out of the 4 sting for a bit.
Max was not a fan, nor was I of them, but he did very well considering. He cried when he got them and some after the appointment. After he took a nap he seemed to be good.
Good job, budders...we are so proud of our big guy!
